ein Sonnet

Your form is greater than all else
And life and death depend on you
You give me strength when all else fails
You seem to know me through and through.

The salty tears upon my face
Are joining you in laughter
Oh give me strength to rest my case
And keep me ever after.

Your warmth and cold make all else float
Into an orb of repetition
I pray you kindly, keep my boat
In gentle opposition.

That’s all I ask, oh mighty sea
My one and never dying plea
